Datacenter University (Datacenteruniversity.org) was established in 2017 by Associate Professor Dr. Montri Wiboonrat through academic collaboration among the College of Innovation and Industrial Management (CIIM) and KMITL Business School of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), the Department of Computer Engineering (KMITL), the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Thammasat University), the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), NECTEC, the Researcher Association of Thailand, and BICSI.

Datacenter University aims to become a "Digital Infrastructure Knowledge Hub" for the ASEAN region, encompassing expertise in Data Centers, Cloud Computing, AI, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, Smart Infrastructure, and next-generation digital infrastructure systems to support the digital economy and future industries.

The institution focuses on building collaborative networks among academia, government agencies, and industry partners — serving as a center for experts, researchers, engineers, consultants, and technology developers interested in modern data center technologies, with emphasis on international standards, design, management, and cybersecurity.

Datacenter University promotes research in emerging technologies including Quantum Computing, Quantum Data Centers, QPU, Cryogenic Infrastructure, Photonic Interconnects, Quantum Networks, and hybrid architectures integrating Classical HPC, AI GPU Clusters, and Quantum Computing Systems.

The institution serves as a Learning Community for knowledge exchange, case studies, and best practices, monitoring global standards such as ISO/IEC 22237, TIA-942, BICSI 002, ASHRAE, IEC 62443, NIST, Green Data Center, and Sustainable Digital Infrastructure standards.

With this vision, Datacenter University aspires to advance Thailand toward becoming an "ASEAN Digital Infrastructure and Quantum Technology Hub" through human capital development, research, innovation, and integrated technology ecosystems connecting Data Centers, AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing.
